Drive…What is it?
When I think about my journey into the Music Business, I have to always remind myself that I started this career from nothing. I didn’t have any connections, I didn’t know anybody, and I didn’t have a whole lot of resources to help me . What I did and still do have is drive. I know so many taltented people who have no drive whatsoever. They sit around and wait for people to do things for them. I am not that type of person. I know what I want and I figure out a way to make it happen. I don’t sit around and make excuses for myself. I do the best I can with what I have. People have often asked me, where do I get my perseverance from….I tell them from setting realistic goals for myself. I just know that everything that I have or have earned (besides school), I have had to work for it. Nobody was waiting there with a special gift for me. I had to work for it. Am I better, faster, cuter, more talented, etc. than the next artist, no I am not. Will I work harder than the next artist? Yes, I will. I believe if you are passionate about something, you should go for it and do your best….If your best isn’t good enough, try something different.
